Jaxon is getting very excited for baby Aliya Juel

Yesterday Jaxon felt Aliya Juel move. He was very excited. In the past he never wanted to feel my tummy. But now that he can look at my tummy and see that something is moving in there he decided to give it a try and she gave him a kick. Jaxon would only put his hand on my belly button since that is where the baby is. This morning we went to the Dr. and as soon as we pulled up to the hospital he started saying baby Aliya Juel over and over, he thought we were gonna get to see pics of her again. I love that he is getting so excited about her. I hope the excitement continues after she is born. At my midwife today she tried to listen to the heartbeat but Aliya Juel wouldn't quit moving. My midwife was laughing because my stomach was doing the wave. She never found the heartbeat for more than 2 seconds and said, "well, I am not worried about her, she is definitely alive and well!"
Yesterday I was feeling good and decided I wanted to organize all the hand me downs I have received from my sister-in-law so that when we are ready for the next size the work is already done. Well, I found another bin of 0-6 months clothes. YEAH, I got to go through them and get really excited for a little girl. I am very lucky and grateful that Jason and Sharley are so generous with their hand me down donations (as well as Elizabeth with Dylan's clothes). They all have such great taste and help us out a lot. I am so excited, and nervous, to have a little girl!

J coloring

J takes art very seriously. Here he is concentrating really hard and drawing a red banana.

Snow Bowl on Super Bowl Sunday

Garrett put together another fun flag football game for the boys. A few guys had to sit out from injuries sustained in the last game. Here are a few photos of the game, as well as J and his buddy Parker.

Blurb your blog

I recently heard that blurb will slurp up your blog again. Yeah!  I am home (still sick) and decided to start this. I thought it would take me hours over a few weeks. I was able to do it in under 2 hours. The book cost me $52 for a hard cover with 130 pages. I will let you know how it turns out. This may take over my scrapbooking. It was so easy!! Go to www.blurb.com and download the program. Good Luck!

J's latest interests and a sick Mama

The past few weeks J has changed a lot. His favorite things to do are puzzles and play games. We picked up a 24 piece puzzle a few weeks ago thinking he would be able to do it with help in the next few months. Well to our surprise, he was able to do it all by himself in record time. He will focus all his attention to do a 24 piece puzzle so I decided to try a harder one. He can now do a 70 piece puzzle (5 years +) all by himself and 100 piece with a little help. It is so great watching him focus so hard and accomplish it and be so proud of himself. He also loves games. I love that he takes turns and follows directions so well. It just shows us that our little guy is growing up. We love bragging to each other about his latest accomplishments and kind gestures.

On a more negative note. I am very sick :( I have a viral lung infection. It feels as though knives are cutting my throat and lungs and only gets worse when I cough. I went to my midwife Thurs because she thought it might be pneumonia after I told her my symptoms. I am relieved it is not pneumonia. She gave me antibiotics to prevent the infection from turning into pneumonia. In the past antibiotics have made me fell better after 2 days. Well, I have been on antibiotics since Thurs and am getting worse. The body aches are getting worse. The cough is getting worse and I am getting more and more tired. The good thing is that A is still very active. She slowed down the first 2 days I was sick but is now active again. She hates when I cough. I think it is because it contracts my uterus and is so loud. She will kick and stretch (or do yoga as J says) after I cough. I want to thank my sister and her family for taking J on 15 minute notice. Dada had prior commitments and I needed to lay down so bad because I was so exhausted and in so much pain from trying to get a few things done today. A big thank you for calming me down and saving the day... like you always do. XOXO
