Krissie comes for a visit... Alone!!!

Krissie came in town by herself to visit for over 2 weeks. It was so great to have her here and not be on any schedule. For the first week her and I sat around and talked She asked lots of questions about me and my life. We talked a lot about where I was in my life and why I placed her for adoption. She expressed how grateful she was for me sacrificing my own happiness for her to be happy and get the life she deserved. We both agreed that our open adoption is the only way it could have worked for us. Krissie is very sensitive like me and neither of us could imagine not knowing each other. This visit was necessary for both of us. After she left we both got depressed for several weeks. It was so hard because we became very close while she was here. She greatly missed her mom, but we missed out on so much together in the past 16 years we were trying to catch up on it all. Although it is very difficult for me, I wouldn't change a thing. I wouldn't be where I am if I hadn't Chosen this path for us. She would probably still be just as awesome, but she wouldn't be as privileged. I am forever grateful for her family allowing us to have ts time together. Krissie and I have talked more recently which is nice. I love the relationship I share with her mother, she is such a great friend of mine now.
While Krissie was in town we spent a lot of time talking, practicing driving, crafting and TONS of playing! Very little work got done while she was here.
The kids now understand who Krissie is and how she fits into our family. We talk about her most days. They all have such a special bond. I loved seeing them interact together, as though they have always been best friends. Jaxon and Aliya look up to and love Krissie SOOO much. I am so blessed to have 3 amazing kids.
