Family hugging Luke

All of Luke's brothers and dad gave him a hug and cried together at Bunny's viewing. It was a very tender moment that brought tears to all of us that were watching. Luke is very fortunate to have such a large family to help hold him up during this devastating journey in his life. Bunny's dear friend Jenna gave an amazing heartfelt speach today, that celebrated Bunny's life in an amazing light.

The dreaded day has finally come...

I have dreaded this day for the past 14 years. My daughter just text messaged me asking about her birthfather. AAAHHHHHH! I promised myself and her 14 years ago that I would never say a bad thing about him. Because after all he gave me my angel and changed my life forever, for the better. I asked her what she wanted to know and she said anything. This is going to be a very difficult email, I was always so happy that she was content with just having me in her life. I am glad though that she has waited this long as he has been out of the picture for so long. He has contacted me twice in the past 14 years. The first time was 6 years ago and we made plans to go visit her in Texas. Her parents and I decided to not tell Krissie as to not let her down if plans fell through. Sure enough he backed out 3 days before. That was the last I heard of him until 2 months ago. This most recent time I told him that I was not going to tell her he was asking about her and keep it open until she asked about him. Well the day came today. Now off to compose a very well thought out email. It is going to be hard to put him in such a light that he does not deserve but she does. This is part of being a birth mom, protecting the ones you love.

Aliya Juel is 13 months

Aliya Juel is walking all over at home, but still timid about walking on unfamiliar surfaces.
She is still tiny, but she is a bottomless pit. Strangers often comment on how much she eats.
Aliya is talking more, she says ball, baby, what's that?, more, boo.
Aliya is still a GREAT sleeper.
She has pooped in the potty over a dozen times, I put her on and she knows just what to do.
Aliya Juel is such a sweet little girl, she loves to walk over and turn around to sit on your lap.
She is always happy unless a little kid tries to pick her up or if you take her food away.
She loves little chairs, especially her rocking chair.
Aliya Juel dances whenever she hears music.
Loves going up the stairs, still working on coming down.
She holds everything to her ear and says hi.
Stands by the door and begs to go outside. LOVES being outside.
Can sign milk, more, dog, dad, mom, and binki.
Aliya loves dolls, she cuddles and kisses them.
This is Aliya's hand in the car while she grunts and says more. She really is eating a majority of her waking hours.
LOVE this daddy daughter dance. Aliya and Jer were loving it.

Jaxon's recent sayings

Jaxon: Mama, I love you forever!
Me: I love you for always!
Jaxon: Oh, that's cute!

Jaxon: Frequently talks about his school, what he learns there. It is in Merica and it is far away, his teacher is Kiki and she is brown. What? He doesn't go to school .I keep reminding him that I get credit for teaching him to read, not this mysterious Kiki

Jaxon: "Excuse me mom..." he says this before he interrupts me now. His little buddy was repeatedly yelling mom. Jaxon said, "You need to say excuse me and she will listen." His buddy turned and yelled in his face, "I don't say scuse me" Jaxon turned to me and I explained that is was the polite thing to do and he was a good boy for trying to teach his friends.

Jaxon is convincing me that when he is 4 he will start to sleep in his bed so that he can get a DS. We'll see, he only has a month left of being 3.
