Silver Lake

Today the kids and I headed up the canyon with a good friend Mariah, her son and Jaxon's VERY best buddy, Parker and daughter Zoey, that will be best buds with Aliya Juel, they just don't know it yet. We walked around Silver lake. The boys loved climbing on rocks and exploring everything from the trees to the water to the signs...

Camping

Last weekend we went camping with some good friends of ours Craig and Melissa, and their two daughters Morgan and Taluhla. It was such a fantastic quick get-a-way. I let the kids get dirty, I ate over my limit in s'mores and we all had a blast laughing and talking. The kids loved to explore nature and collect rocks. I was worried about Aliya sleeping, so we brought the play pen and she did fabulous. She only gets her binki at bed and nap time so when I brought her in the tent to get her in her jammies she signed binki and pointed to the crib, I layed her down and not a peep. YAY! I didn't even bother with Jaxon, until I looked over and he was passed out in his camping chair, he did great most of the night until he realized he was trapped in his sleeping bag, so he climbed up by me and slept the rest of the night with no blanket. Jer and the kids slept in until 9 while I enjoyed a cup of coffee in silence. We are hoping to get out at least one more time before winter hits.

Day 7 & 8

Day 7: Jer, Jax, and I went white water rafting. It was a colder day, so I was a little worried how much fun we would have. We got in the boat and the first rapid was a Class 3, Jaxon was SOAKED. He said, "this is not fun, I do not love this. I want to go back." Sorry bud, we are in to this 4+ hours. I didn't say that. I just hugged him and said that it will get better. One of the guides gave him her sweatshirt, which saved the day, even though it was soaked an hour later. As soon as Jax got warm he said, "mom, this is AWESOME!" We got rained on, we got soaked again, but it didn't matter because we were having a blast. Jaxon helped paddle for a little bit. I hope we get to do that again soon.
Then we headed back to Redfish Lake for dinner and fun with Jer's family.

Day 8: Last day :( Our nephew Micah was baptized in the COLD river by his dad, Travis. Then we piled in the car and headed home. Jaxon played his leapster and Aliya whined for part of the ride home, but we survived and had a fantastic time together.

We are excited for some changes in our near future...

Day 6

Day 6: Redfish Lake. AMAZING! We spent the day at the beach. We had some kayaks so we took turns cruising around the lake. I went until my arms were jelly, then I had to go back .WHAT?! Jaxon and I had a great time out there, the way back was a little bit slower :)
That evening Jer's extended family all met at the lake and we caught up and roasted marshmallows.
